I have to be honest, for the moment, I have time. I live with my husband in Pennsylvania in a pretty apartment. He works and I don’t very much for the moment. Actually, I work a lot on this blog. When I was in France, I was food photographer and I still am. But I have to start from scratch! I had clients in France and I have nothing here! But honestly, one of my dream is to have enough success with this blog to do my job. Creating recipes, spend hours in the kitchen, taking picture, it’s a dream!
But before this life, I was very busy, I worked for big compagnies in Paris and time was precious. For exemple, in the morning I didn’t have much time to settle down for breakfast. It was like: wake up, shower, make up and subway! But despite that, I’ve always been organized. Besides, healthy eating was important to me. So every night or every 3 nights, I prepared my breakfast: an overnight chia! Very convenient for take away.
The texture of this breakfast is very creamy and sweet, it’s all what I like for the morning. I add some quick oats on it (I love Quaker Oats). It’s not expensive and it adds a nice texture. If you never tried overnight chia seeds, at first you might find it sticky, oat removes this impression.
The almond milk is also a nice ingredient, the brand Silk is my favorite. I love the taste of almonds! It’s plant based, so healthier than whole milk in my opinion and it’s lightly. It adds a nice taste to your breakfast. But my little extra is agave syrup. I love to add one tablespoons to this overnight. It’s so delicious!
Why this recipe is perfect for you:
– Healthy breakfast or snack
– Convenient to make
– On the go
– Creamy and sweet taste
The very healthy thing is omega 3 in chia seeds, it’s a good source of it. It’s also rich in proteins! But the best things: reduce inflammation, help digestion (not bad to start the day), nice for your hair and skin, give you energize and some people says it’s great for weight loss.
I really hope you will try this recipe for one of your breakfast, I’m sure you will love it!
